Misfits Gaming Group’s Florida Mutineers will host the second annual “In The Know Bowl 2021” with Verizon Media’s mobile-first content brand In The Know. The live Call of Duty showdown is set to feature Call of Duty League™ franchise team Florida Mutineers players alongside some of the best professional athletes in sports including Cleveland Browns’ Jarvis Landry, Professional Basketball Champion Stephen Jackson, Los Angeles Rams’ Sebastian Joseph-Day, Minnesota Vikings’ Justin Jefferson, Pittsburgh Steelers’ Chase Claypool, Las Vegas Raiders’ Henry Ruggs III, 3x All Star Mark Ingram and Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith. The event will take place online on Friday, February 5th, just a few days prior to the football championship, and will be livestreamed on InTheKnow.com from 5pm to 8pm EST.
The exhibition, which is sponsored by Pizza Hut™, will pair top professional Call of Duty players and influencers with pro athletes in a single-elimination 2v2 Call of Duty tournament. Anthony “Nameless” Wheeler and Jeremy “StuDyy’” Astacio will provide in-game action and commentary throughout the event, and Kay Adams, host of NFL’s Good Morning Football, will be interviewing players and athletes throughout the show.
“My coach always says ‘We Don’t Feel Pressure, We Apply It’ and I’m looking forward to taking that mindset into the tournament,” joked Sebastian Joseph-Day, tackle of the Los Angeles Rams. “I’ve been playing Call of Duty for years now, and I’m really excited to take my talents to the next level and compete amongst some of the best in the game!”
The Florida Mutineers professionals Cesar “Skyz” Bueno, Colt “Havok” McLendon, Joseph “Owakening” Conley and more will be matched with a partner from a roster of current and former professional athletes. The preliminary lineup includes (subject to change):
