Florida Mutineers Team up with NFL Athletes and Streamers for a $25,000 Warzone Tournament for COVID-19 Charities

In the fight against COVID-19, the Florida Mutineers, of Misfits Gaming Group (MGG), will bring together the worlds of traditional sports and esports with the $25,000 Wrecked Royale charity Warzone tournament, presented by SoFi, with all prize money going to COVID-19 charities. 

On Wednesday, May 13 at 6pm EST, the Florida Mutineers will join pro athletes including:

  • Terrell Owens (NFL Hall of Famer)
  • Ryan Shazier (former Pittsburgh Steelers)
  • Mack Wilson (Cleveland Browns)
  • Sheldrick Redwine (Cleveland Browns)
  • Shaq Thompson (Carolina Panthers)
  • James Bradberry (New York Giants)
  • Jedrick Wills (Cleveland Browns)
  • Vernon Butler (Buffalo Bills)
  • Deejay Dallas (Seattle Seahawks)

These athletes will join pro Call of Duty players, pro athletes and streamers to compete in a one-day Call of Duty Warzone tournament made up of 12 squads of 4 will. All teams will walk away with a participation prize to donate to a COVID-19 charity of their choice, and the winning team will receive $5,000. 

Fans will be able to tune in and watch the tournament live on the Florida Mutineers Twitch channel: twitch.tv/flmutineers, with commentary from Call of Duty League shoutcasters. 

MGG has teamed up with eFuse and Esports Engine for the production and logistics of the tournament.
